Chloe Jadai

Chloe Jadai
Chloe Jadai is a rising star from Western Australia whose work brings Country to life through rich, expressive mark-making and a deep connection to place. A proud Aboriginal artist, Chloe paints the rocks, kurru (creeks), salt pans, and open plains of Kulyakartu and Kirriwirri—lands she knows intimately through time spent travelling and camping with her family. “We camped in the nice flat ground in the open when we got to Kulyakartu,” she recalls, describing journeys that shape both her memories and her art.
Recently featured in the Revealed: Emerging Aboriginal Artists exhibition in Perth, Chloe stood out as a powerful new voice among a new generation of First Nations artists. Each canvas reflects not only the beauty of the land but the stories embedded within it—passed down from elders, including Muuki Taylor, who teaches Jukurrpa (Dreaming) stories and cultural knowledge.
Chloe’s practice is grounded in learning from her old people—sitting with them, listening to stories, and turning those teachings into visual language. Her work honours this intergenerational transmission while also offering something distinctly her own: a youthful yet reverent perspective on Country and culture. As she continues to develop her practice, Chloe Jadai is emerging as a vital storyteller and artist—one who keeps culture alive through every brushstroke.
