Mary Rumble

Mary Rumble
Bush Yam is an important food source in Aboriginal culture. It grows underground with only the shrub growing above ground. It can be found in the spinifex plains and flowers after summer rains. The Bush Yam tastes very like the sweet potato, but is also renowned for its medicinal properties. It is used to treat cuts, wounds, bites and rashes. Mary Rumble captures the Bush Yam in vibrant colours in a joyful celebration of their importance to Aboriginal culture.
